The Genesee Theatre was full of die-hard fans ready to rock out with Blue Oyster Cult Thursday night! I can tell spring is finally here, because I got to the theater while the sun was still out! The nicer weather always brings more people out to shows! Speaking of which, I ran into one of my “Arcada Regulars'', Gene, at the show! In true Arcada fashion, he was standing for the entire BOC performance! Gene mentioned he has seen BOC over 50 times!! This seemed to be the case for most of the fans! Also, I loved that all these classic rockers in their 50’s, 60’s and maybe even 70’s were up front and standing for pretty much the entire show! I was thoroughly impressed by both the band and the fans! Mark Farner’s America kicked things off right with some Grand Funk Railroad tunes! Then Blue Oyster Cult came out and gave all the die-hards what they were waiting for! An all around great rock show! Personally, I was looking forward to seeing Buck Dharma’s signature guitar which looks like a block of swiss cheese! It was an absolute blast seeing all the fans still so into a band they’ve loved for over 50 years!
