Tom Keifer and LA Guns at the Genesee Theatre, Waukegan IL 8-1-24

Thursday August 1st Cinderella’s Tom Keifer and LA Guns rocked the beautiful Genesee Theatre in Waukegan IL!

If you haven’t caught these two bands on the same bill before you are missing out! Also, yes, if you are unaware they have toured together before! Last time around the pair played the Arcada and Des Plaines theaters, so I’m glad they changed it up this time! Personally I feel both Tom Keifer and LA Guns music pair well together and therefore have more fans coming for both bands instead of just one. Which brings me to another one of my favorite things…. Fans! I swear LA Guns has an unmatched fan base, me included I guess! LA Guns headlined a show at The Forge in Joliet IL just 6 days before this one, which I also photographed! Including the Genesee show I have photographed them 5 times just in 2024, hence why I call myself their “professional stalker”! But I’m not the only one! One of the couples I talked to said it was their 4th time seeing LA Guns this year! Also I loved chatting with a dozen or so people I saw at both LA Guns shows! The guys always put on a great show and I’m never sure what tricks or funny bits will digress during their show! On a similar note I asked Ace Von Johnson of LA Guns before the show if he and Tony Higbee of Tom Keifer’s band had any shenanigans planned? Unfortunately not. Nonetheless Tom Keifer and his band always put on a killer show! These guys are so tight! You can tell they know the songs like the back of their hands and are truly there with the crowd the entire night! Oh, and don’t forget to catch Tony’s dual guitar slinging! I personally love catching this because it’s not something you see much anymore. Tom Keifer and LA Guns is definitely a duo you don’t want to miss!
